“Shou” (pronounced Show) is a traditional Chinese symbol meaning “longevity” or “quality". It is a fitting name for our traditional Bordeaux-style blends as this family of grapes is famous for producing long-lived, quality wines.
This wine is patterned after the lovely white wines of the Pessac-Leognan district in Bordeaux. The Semillon grape is usually a bit later ripening than Sauvignon Blanc, but the flavors were so lovely, we harvested at the same time this year.
Flavors and aromas are reminiscent of hazlenut, citrus, beeswax, peach and nectarine.
