About This Wine: One of the finest Crus in the entire Mosel, the grapes are grown on a plot of 2.3ha in the oldest and steepest part, which was never restructured, unlike the rest of the Goldtröpfchen vineyard. Because of this, quite a few vines are very old, up to 90 years and ungrafted, still on their own rootstocks. The soils of the steep slope that is Goldtröpfchen consists of heavy, decomposed, dark slate. The wine boasts currant and passion fruit flavors, while notes of cardamom glide along the edges. Very well-balanced and complex, with juicy acidity that brings out the mineral-infused finish
