Style:  Petillant Naturel Rosé            Vintage: NV

Varietal:  Pino Noir        Region: Burgency     County:  France

Pet-Nat is short for Petillant Naturel, also known as Methode Ancestrale- A traditional method of making sparkling wine that is the oldest known method. The wine is bottled before the primary fermentation is finished, delivering a lower pressure, lightly sparkling wine in the petillant style. The wine is finished without the addition of secondary yeasts, sugars, or sulfites.

The Rosé gives a dark pink color. It is lively and tart with subtle red berries and strawberry flavors.

The Moutard family has been making Champagne for the past 4 centuries. Francois Moutard and his two sisters, Agnes and Veronique, are fervent defenders of the family heritage. Never resting on their laurels, the family has ventured into Burgundy, a logical avenue for expansion given its proximity to Champagne and grape varietal mix. MoutardDiligent is the result of a union in 1960 between Lucien Moutardand Josette Diligent, Francois' parents. The Domaine Moutard-Diligent extends over 25 ha in Chablis and Tonnerois. History, tradition and a commitment to unsurpassable quality define the domaine.
