The grapes came in on October 15th with the perfect balance of sugar and acidity to make a bold, dry Alsace-styled wine. Through the glass, the straw color of autumn fields invites the nose into the aromas of chamomile blossom and summer apples On the tongue, it is full and viscous hinting of hard Bosc pears, Pink Lady apples, stony minerals and citrus rind. The finish is intense and persistent.
This is a superbly balanced wine right now however, I do expect this wine to age and improve over the next five years, gaining more weight in the mid-palate along with perhaps some classic pine resin and honey notes.
